let me tell you mine..
Before you share your story..
Hi my name is Summer Rickabaugh! I am a self-taught photographer in Eastern North Carolina, who specializes in documentary/lifestyle photography; I am also a boy mom with a slight plant obsession.
Growing up I would have never thought that I would be where I am now, but here I am the owner of a small business. I was lucky enough to meet & learn from many people who have opened my eyes to unique world of art; in which showed me the path I wanted to be in in life.

Work Style
I feel as if my editing style blends a warm, cinematic atmosphere with earthy tones and natural highlights, complementing my approach to documentary & lifestyle photography. While ensuring a lively, positive experience.
I like to focus on capturing raw, candid moments that feel authentic (Authenticity over Perfections ALWAYS), enhancing ambient light to create a soft, moody feel. I strive for my work to reflect a love for storytelling & capturing spontaneous moments that highlight pure emotions.
Let’s get to know each other
Who is Summer Rickabaugh?
She is just a photographer
Photography isn't my only role in life, I am also a mom, fiancée, and friend. Though I am a woman of many jobs, I pride myself in being myself in being the best mom I can be. I have had the privilege of staying home full time with my son, Declan, but because of my Independent, go-getting person I am, I wanted to help contribute to my family.
I have always had a love for photography, but it grew so much more once I found out I was pregnant. Even though I have always been the girl that wanted to document everything, I never wanted to miss a thing! Having the want to remember everything; the good, the bad and even the ugly. Photography was the opportunity to show my love for art, to express myself, to be more than just a mom/fiancée and to help provide.
I found that most people would refer to me as being born in the wrong generation along with adventurous or having an old soul (what a compliment!). A few other ways people would describe me is passionate, determined, strong, empathetic, nurturing, loving, kind-hearted, & fun-loving.
When I'm not snapping pictures you can find me looking after my obscene amount of plants or outback tending to my 4 dogs, 2 cats & 20 chickens. If I'm not there you can probably catch me with my friends & family enjoying the outdoors, taking the boat out on the river, going to the beach, hiking, exploring new places, or supporting our little humans at their sports events(what a mom, lol)!
I have talked enough about myself, so let's talk about my better half before I wrap this up. Branson, my fiancée, is hands down the most amazing man I know. Not only is he a lineman, working long hours in every kind of weather, he is a outstanding father. He goes above & beyond for both of us each & everyday. I will forever be grateful for him supporting all of my dreams & being my loudest cheerleader!
I'm surprised I've had this much to say, I hate talking about myself, lol.
